Absolute Pimsleur's Japanese I - Lesson 3 Transcript

We're breezing right along now. I figured the first few lessons are relatively tame and that most would probably run right through them up until about 6 or 7 before they start getting a little overwhelmed, so I'm just going to churn the transcripts out every other day for the first half a dozen or so. Again, this is Absolute Pimsleur’s Japanese I if you were looking to follow along. Just going over the translated transcript is good practice for those that can't afford the audio tapes, though, so don't feel like you shouldn't bother with these if you don't have Absolute Pimsleur's.

Notes

こんにちは

As stated on the tapes, this is typically first used around midday around 10am, where it replaces おはようございます, and typically stops being using at the end of the afternoon / early evening, when it is replaced by こんばんは, which is basically 'good evening'.
